During Sept-Nov 2007 a four-person team from the UK undertook a study tour visiting six carefully selected countries to meet experts in fields relating to energy policy and climate change. Identified as future leaders, in undertaking the tour, the team aimed to improve both their own and others' understanding of how global economies are addressing the twin challenges of climate change and global economic growth.

Of particular interest to the team was understanding ways in which the needs and desires of different stakeholders can be reconciled to stabilise global greenhouse gases at a safe level. For example, can stabilisation only be achieved by integrating the needs of employers/ businesses and the desires of citizens with the right combination of government policies?

In early 2008, the team began reporting their findings to leading UK public and private sector experts and published a report which you can download here. The tour was sponsored by the Norfolk Charitable Trust and made possible through the efforts of the study team and the many national experts across the world who generously contributed their thoughts and time to the study.
